The High Line

Manhattan, New York

The High Line is a 1-mile  park built section of the former elevated New York Central Railroad which runs along the lower west side of Manhattan. While eating lunch with two friends on a midsummer's day, one suggested taking a walk on the High Line to help burn off some of the calories from our meal. One of the reasons I love New York City is that when you get stressed in the mess of it all, there are a plethora of parks and spots you can get away for some quiet time. The High Line ended up being a great place to get out of streets and to get a new perspective on this amazing city! Below are a few photos from our walk. All of these shots were taken on my iPhone 4S. Sadly I didn't take any pictures of the railroad, but that gives me a reason to go back! :)
